Hey there welcome to OPEN. OPEN is three friends from Leeds and we are attempting to revolutionise how gift cards work for independent businesses.

JUST FOR INDIES

We have recently built and launched a new gift card platform, designed solely for local businesses. Our plan is to create a network of indies in which our cards can be spent and in doing so offer a genuine alternative to big brand gift cards. We want to take gifting spend away from the likes of Amazon, Starbucks etc and drive it into local businesses!

HOW MUCH?

£7bn is spent on gift cards each year in the UK (over 250m cards are sold) and none of this revenue is currently being spent in local businesses. There are 5.8m SMEs in the UK and they contribute a huge amount to our economy. They need as much support as possible, now more than ever before.

SO, WHAT’S IN IT FOR BUSINESSES?

Our goals are quite simple

  • create visibility for OPEN and indies
  • drive footfall
  • provide new customers
  • generate additional revenue through gift card spend

We’ve made it as easy as possible for businesses to sign up, there are no barriers. It’s free to register and OPEN can simply run alongside any existing gift cards you offer, as additional revenue. We only make commission when you make a sale through one of our cards. That’s only fair right?

MORE CHOICE

Our cards can be spent in any registered business. This means the more businesses we have registered, the more attractive OPEN is as a gifting option; and the more choice our customers have where they spend their gift money.

GETTING READY FOR LAUNCH

We are launching in November 2020. We’re currently busy signing up some amazing local businesses around Leeds. We will be marketing OPEN to customers as a gifting option for Christmas and we will also be talking to employers in the region, who will be looking to reward staff after a tough year!
